IT COSMETICS YOUR SKIN BUT BETTER CC+ CREAM - a MAKEUP ARTIST review
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
This bestselling, full-coverage, SPF 50 CC cream is an all-in-one foundation, brightening color corrector, hydrating serum, pore-less finish primer, dark spot concealer, and moisturiser. If you are worrying whether they have it in your shade? Of course, they do! The CC Cream is offered in a range of shades that flatters most skin tones.
WHAT GOT ME HOOK ON THIS PRODUCT
The mini version caught my attention while standing in a queue waiting for my turn at the cashier in a Sephora store. When I tried it on myself a few days later, I could immediately see a difference in my skin tone. The creamy texture makes it easy to blend, the the CC Cream was totally buildable, and my pigmentation was 80% concealed. I was thrilled! It was as good as the other Chanel, YSL foundations that I use. All I need to do is simply apply a bit of concealer on my dark circles, and I am good to go! My skin is taken care of, in a short time. Perfect for Makeup artists especially when we have to get up early for wedding assignments. Oh, did I also mention that the CC Cream also brightens my skin tone, and made it look flawless. In my honest opinion, it does what it claims.
LESS IS MORE
Makeup artists love products like this. For years, we have been sold multiple products used on the skin - moisturiser, sunscreen, primer, concealer, colour-correcting products, foundations etc. Yep, and you wonder why Makeup artists lug around a heavy luggage from places to places. To think that the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream comprises of all the skin-nourishing ingredients, formulated like a cosmetic multivitamin - all packed into one product. I personally think it’s amazing. I can’t wait to use this on my clients, and at the same time - reduce the size of my makeup kit to make it compact for traveling around Singapore.
HOW I USE IT
I love foundations that comes with a pump dispenser, which is great for hygiene purposes, and easy to dispense. For a smooth application, I use a makeup sponge, or a beauty blender for blending the product into my skin. The coverage is buildable, meaning you can decide how much coverage you prefer on that day - whether it’s lesser foundation on a sunny day out at the beach, or a matte look on an romantic dinner with your beau.
- If you have oily skin - skip the moisturiser, use a toner, a primer, and a setting spray
- If you have normal skin - go straight into the product after your toner, and light moisturiser
